 What is E-Commerce
E-Commerce is just a cool way of saying online store or conducting business transactions online.
Do I need an Online Store?
It all depends on the type of business you are running. In my opinion almost all businesses can use some type of online store to generate extra income for the business.
If you own a retail store or sell products in your business the answer would defiantly be, yes you need an online store. For other businesses, think about branding. To give you an example say you own a restaurant. You would not need an online store to sell your meals in most instances but what about branding. Have you thought about selling branded items such as hats and tee shirts? Almost all businesses can sell branding items online. This may not be a huge market but for the relative inexpensive cost and the high branding return it can offer it is worth doing in most cases.
The same can hold true for other businesses. As another example let’s use a printing shop. You could sell the normal paper and other items online but what about taking orders for business cards online. This could extend your market from local customers to a world market.

Over the last few years with the internet trend going strong and the relative cost to start an online business decreasing more and more people are looking to online stores for extra income.
