Content Management refers to the ability of the website and the websites owner to manage the content and data on the website.
Content management will vary greatly from one website to another. Each of our websites are built to promote what the company wants to promote. For example a Pool Hall in most cases would not need an online store. A retail store may opt to have an online store. Another example may be a hair and nail salon who would like there customers to be able to make online reservations.
Each of the businesses listed above would need a different content management system. In each website we build there is a strong and secure administrative area built into the website. In this administrative area you or the employees you elect can access and change any information on the website. For example if you have an online store you would be able to add products, update prices, place items on sale, and do all the regular updates that a site without a store could do. For example a nail salon with online reservation would be able to track each reservation and make any changes that may be needed. A real estate website would be able to track all of the leads generated by their website. All businesses need access to change the information on any page of their website in a simple and easy way. This could be something as small as changing a phone number, or changing a paragraph on the page that describes your business.
Our administrative areas on our websites are what sets us apart from other website design companies. Other website design companies may not give you the ability to make changes and updates to your website as easily as we do. By not giving you the ability to make the changes yourself you must return to the designer to make the changes. The designer then can make a very nice hourly rate just to make simple changes that you should be able to do yourself. All of our websites include up to 2 hours of update work per month. This means that as long as you have a website with us and you need us to make a change you are not able to make yourself and it takes less than 2 hours you will not have to pay any extra for the update.
